John Spruiell, COO

John A. Spruiell is currently the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for TechCorr and its affiliated companies.  Mr. Spruiell reports to the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors.  As a member of TechCorr, almost since its inception, John has previously held the positions of Operations Manager, Corporate Safety Director, Corporate Radiation Safety Officer, and Vice President of North American Operations. At TechCorr, John leads a team that encompasses the Western Hemisphere, and is involved in the development of the Eastern Hemisphere providing necessary support for all company divisions, guidance to deliver on the corporate vision, a unified culture and infrastructure, and a worldwide coordination for all business units.  John oversees the company's operations, operational needs, and expansion.

John has over 14 years experience working with inspection, engineering, and non-destructive testing organizations.  This includes inspection technician, project management, and operations management positions with ERI Consulting Engineers and Longview Inspection. He has earned a reputation for delivering upon goals in a timely and consistent manner, a clear and consistent vision, and creating a team culture while igniting enthusiasm in TechCorr’s employees.

Despite John's challenging career as COO, he makes time to be involved with professional and community organizations.  He is a member of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers, American Society of Non Destructive Testing, Non Destructive Testing Management Association, and the Association of Plant Inspection Professionals.  He also volunteers his time for the Friendswood Youth Football Association. A native of Houston, Texas Mr. Spruiell now lives in Friendswood, Texas with his wife and son.   When not working, John likes to play golf, scuba dive, hunt, fish, attend sporting events, and coach his son’s youth football team.  John can be reached at jspruiell@techcorr.com
