Waste Minimisation Services

Due to the rising costs of waste disposal, waste minimisation has become a key driver in projects at facilities world wide. Preventing the disposal of stream lines that can be captured and routed back to the facility is a must in todays times.  TechCorr believes in looking at every project from a waste minimisation perspective.

  • Waste Stream centrifuging is great for processing large volumes of materials to achieve a clean liquid/solid seperation and only dispose of the unwanted nonusable material.
  • Centrifuging of crude tanks typically achieves an 85% reclaim rate and cuts disposal down to 15% of the insitu sludge. The reclaimed oil can meet a 2% BS&W specification with a standard centrifuge system.
  • When dealing with fuel oil tanks that consist of high amounts of solids, the centrifuge process is a good solution to capture all of the reclaimable product and minimise disposal costs as much as possible.

Waste Stream processing is ideal for continuous streamlines such as wastewater systems.  Plants typically get backed up due to large amounts of solids being sent to the wastewater treatment tanks.

  • TechCorr can set up a processing system on the front side to perform a liquid/solid seperation so that only the liquid stream is sent to the wastewater treatment tanks.
  • This process proves to be an advantage to the wastewater system by minimising the amount of solid matter that actually gets into the wastewater treatment tanks.  This will extend the operating time of the tank and prevent the shut down of the tank due to high levels of solids.

Microbial soil treatment is a prime candidate for spill clean ups and in plant landfarms. In a spill situation, the microbs are sprayed onto the affected area and the organisms instantly begin to attack the hydrocarbons in the ground.  The microbs will continuous feed on the hydrocarbons until there are no traces remaining in the soil.  This will greatly reduce or eliminate the cost of disposal.  For in plant landfarms, the microbs will help to maintain environmental guidelines and keep hydrocarbons from building in the ground.  For landfarm usage, there will be the need for reapplication of the microbs on established intervals. This will be determined by an analytical of the landfarm and the amount of material that is placed into the farm each month.
